E-Verify Program
The E-Verify program is jointly administered by the Department of Homeland Security, the USCIS and the Social Security Administration. E-Verify has an easy-to-use Internet link to check the information employees provide on their I-9 forms with both DHS and SSA databases. Participation in E-Verify is currently free. Go here: E-Verify
Office of Business Liaison
The primary function of the USCIS’s Office of Business Liaison (OBL) is to educate the United States public on immigration-related employment, investment, and school issues.
The OBL provides information on the employment eligibility verification process, as well as the opportunities available to employers to hire and/or "sponsor" foreign workers in accordance with US Government regulations administered by a variety of federal agencies.

The OBL has established the Employer Business Investor and School Services Hotline (EBISS) toll-free hotline. Call 1-800-357-2099 (TDD 1-800-767-1833) generally from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. eastern time, Monday through Friday (Federal holidays excluded).
